What we publish
More than thirty-five sections per country, from visas and warnings to cuisine, hospitals, boats and museums, plus Affordable, Mid-range, Luxury and Retirement plans with a checklist, timeline and cost breakdown. Launching with 50 destinations, including the United States and China so people elsewhere can compare; growing from there.
Who we are
We're a family that loves to work and travel together. Between us we've scouted neighbourhoods, sat in clinics, priced groceries and asked the awkward questions in more countries than we can count, and we built this site to share what we learned. Nothing makes us happier than helping someone find the best place in the world for themselves, whether that's a first apartment abroad, a fresh start for a family or the town where they'll retire.
Editorial rules
Every figure dated and sourced. Warnings reviewed weekly, visas quarterly, ratings annually. Partners never see or influence ratings. Video we shoot for a partner is labelled as such.

Angela DeVereCEO & FounderAngela first sketched the idea for a single, honest place to research a move abroad in 2012. A senior marketing operations leader by profession, she built the site, sets its editorial rules and leads the company.
